An amount worth $66 million has been reserved by the U.S. Department of Justice to be paid as reimbursement charges subject to winning of a court case by two applicants. The charges in opposition to Full Tilt Poker are being chased by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Cardroom International. But the same have been rejected by the DOJ till now.
The case of Kentucky dates back to 2010, when the state ordered to take hold of 141 realms connected to gambling and Full Tilt Poker is one among them. However, the DOJ claims that efforts in no way were made by KY to confiscate the gambling regions and does not bear any lawful standpoint too. Even then they have reserved an amount of $36,487,230 in an account named Just In Case for KY.
The amount pertaining to Cardroom International is $30million as they claim that the software supporting FTP is possessed by them. The ultimate decision will be taken by the DOJ. However, DOJ stated that to keep the reserved resources of Full Tilt Substitute, the DOJ is not permitting any of the two abovementioned companies to declare a commendable reimbursement or that the corresponding amounts are equivalent to reserved replacement finances.
