As per information provided by Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, there has been a 14.39% rise in gross profit returns from slot machines during Aug.2012 in comparison to Aug. 2011, at Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.
There was a collection of $21.7 million from slots in Aug. 2011 which rose to $24.9 million in Aug. 2012. This rise in profits is even more than the mutual profit increase in 11 casinos of the state. There was a 5.7% increase from $199.2 million in Aug.2011 to $210.6 million in Aug. 2012 in profits all through the state. The rise in profit returns in the current year can be attributed to slots play at Valley Forge Casino Resort that opened in March and collected around $4 million during previous month.
The revenue increase from the casinos that opened during Aug.2011 and Aug. 2012 is up by 3.7%. A total of 10 casinos were opened during both months of the two years out of which 6 exhibited increases in profits while 4 exhibited decrease from less than 1% to 9% in profits.
