A report submitted by Juniper Research suggests that the betting amounts by the gamblers through the mobile devices would touch a record of $100 billion per year by 2017; as compared to the previous year’s figure of just $20 billion. As such, there would be unimaginable expansion in the mobile online gambling market, says the report.
The internet casinos would also increase at a higher rate with the smartphone technology and tablets that would be produced in abundance. The G4 apparatus would outdo other ways of communication systems in a great manner.
Big Fish Games Inc. from USA and the London based Betable Ltd have now joined hands to promote online gambling. Big Fish is going ahead with iPhone Apple OS application with real-money wagering in the U.K. whereas Betable would engage in processing of bets.
Apple App Store would also play a major role. The CEO of Betable, Christopher Griffin has termed the move as a great achievement by the developers who owe much to the internet. Betable has developed its links with other game manufacturers to penetrate real-money games during the current year whereas William Hill and Betfair Group has also adopted iPhone apps. Use of credit cards has become common at Big Fish that would rip the meager gains from each slot device bet from Betable.
The CEO of Big Fish, Paul Thelen apprised that Apple intends to stay away from this as they don’t wish to act as the middlemen. Of late, Big Fish was banned by Apple to operate a subscription service allowing users of iPad to enjoy many video games against monthly charges. The CEO added that they have stepped into online gambling by acquiring Self Aware Games during March in the last year.
