Casino News:

The Thai developer owes $5.5 million to Star Casino against the bounced cheque worth $5 million

Nattachai Srirungsukpinij, the Thai developer has been charged of bouncing a cheque worth $5 million in favor of the Star Casino in April last year. The man has been instructed to pay $5.5 million to the casino that has so far not received the requisite amount.
Like the Star Casino, other operators also have to suffer heavily as it is very difficult for them to recover the hefty amounts involved in the bounced cheques. The legal action also proves of little value as the facilities are left with very thin chances of getting back the money. Enforcing the orders of the courts of Australia is also a difficult procedure in the case of overseas clients. The group of gamblers from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore has been ordered by the Supreme Court to repay an amount of $23 million on account of bounced cheques. But the casino has left the hope to get back the money. Junkets, an operator of group gambling tours who lend money to the visitors introduced the group to gambling in the Star’s VIP Sovereign Room. Due to the junket operator SilkStar’s bust, the casino is finding difficulty to recover the huge amount of $23 million. Same is the case of the northern Thailand’s Vissanu Wiangnak from Chiang Rai whose cheque worth $613,000 was bounced in last June and it has been instructed to pay back $674,021. Similarly, $541,980 is to be paid by Somboon Srisombattanakit whereas Bangkok’s Krairurg Kodcha has to repay $522,392 for a cheque worth $473,000 since bounced in the last May. Pimchaya Wattanakulyothin is also on the list of defaulters who owes $799,484. This is not the end as an amount of $85,811.84 has to be repaid by Kau Lan and Phatsita Kiratiphatthananan is to pay $272,246. Liong Chong Yap, the Singaporean businessman’s bounced cheque worth $283,000 makes him liable for the payment. A cheque of $82,000 bounced by Kok Wah Tee from Selangor in Malaysia has made him a debtor of $93,451 while an amount of $96,267 has to be repaid by the Semilan based Chin Meng Pun for his cheque worth $85,000 since bounced in the month of May last year.
